Triglav Leather Boots from By The Mountain are handcrafted in Portugal with a sustainalbly produced natural-vegetable tanned leather. Inspired by Portuguese working-class boots from the 1950’s, these are meant to stand the test of time. This beautiful leather is treated with natural tallow making these boots waterproof (apply tallow or beeswax often to keep them waterproof and the leather in it’s best condition).

These boots also feature a Goodyear welt, a strip of leather is sewn around the bottom edge that attachs to both the insole and the upper. Goodyear welted footwear is highly valued for being relatively waterproof by reducing water penetration into the insole. They fit true to size (don’t worry, we converted the size from EU to US).

They will be bit stiff to start, but after a few days of wear, the leather starts to smooth out and eventually turns very flexible. Wearing them for long periods is not recommended for the first few wears. Use them for short periods of time until the leather has stretched out enough.

The Triglav leather boots are handcrafted in small batches to minimize waist and focus on the details. 

The model is a 9-9.5 US and is wearing a 42 EU size.
