Description

Spencer Classic Fedora from Bailey of Hollywood is an exemplary fedora style featuring a teardrop crown that flatters everyone. The 2 3/8″ brim will provide plenty of sun protection on hot sunny days. Spencer is made in the USA from Bailey’s trademark Litestraw, a finish that converts hard straw into softer straw for more comfort and flexibility.

Medium: USA 7-71/8 or 22″-22.5″

Large: USA 71/4 – 73/8 or 22.75″- 23″

How to measure for hat size:

Place a string or tape around your head about 1/8″ above your ear, across the mid-forehead, completely circling your head. Hold the tape firmly, but not too tightly. Basically, you need to measure your head exactly where the hat will sit. If your measurement falls between sizes, choose the next largest size.

In 1922, George S. Bailey founded the Bailey Hat Company in Los Angeles, California. He was an original participant in understanding Hollywood’s leading men as global arbiters of taste and style and dedicated his life to providing them with fine quality hats and great, luxurious styling. The American West was booming, and Los Angeles was leading the charge. A population explosion was underway. He catered directly to the needs of the “New West” by outfitting southern California ranchers, businessman, oil tycoons and movie stars with the “best hat possible”. With celebrities such as Humphrey Bogart, Cary Grant and Gary Cooper wearing Bailey, it cemented his reputation as Hollywood’s premiere milliner. In modern day, many of Bailey’s current offerings still use the same blocks as they did when originally designed over 90 years ago.

Just shopped here for more merch including another amazing belt. Loved shopping at Crimson Serpents Outpost. Serge the owner has a great eye and has curated a high quality assortment of top quality clothes that are unique and will make you feel and look great. I especially like the items he has brought in from Japan. The highlight for me was the custom belt he made for me. I wore if for the first 2 weeks i had it. Serge is very knowledgable leather smith. He has the talent to make a piece of high quality and the taste to make it extraordinary. Very friendly and safe shop down on The Grove with easy parking. Really amazing place if you like beautiful clothing that can last decades. They feature a very wide array of clothing and care products, from Selvedge Denim Jeans jackets, and shirts, to hats, boots, and handmade leather belts and bags.

You can smell the leather and material when you walk in and can spend a good amount of time browsing and trying things on.

The owner is both knowledgeable and enthusiastic about his designs and the products he carries.

The caliber of clothing can be intimidating, but all of my questions were answered in a way that I was able to understand.

The prices may also be intimidating, but this isn't fast fashion, consumable clothing. Much of everything sold here will last years if not decades.

Very cool men’s boutique. Nice to have in St. Louis. Specializes in leather and denim goods. Great place to get unique pieces. Denim line is out of sight! Owner is extremely knowledgeable and helpful when selecting denim to suit you. I went in thinking I knew what I wanted but he found me my absolute favorite jeans, KATO, which i had never heard of, but they are high quality and exactly what is was looking for.
