Description
Olive Seaman’s Civilian Jumper by TCB Jeans is crafted from 11.2 oz. olive canvas. This piece is a reproduction of deck jackets originally worn by the US Navy in the 1940s. One of the most iconic jackets worn by the Navy during WW2.
Using a vintage 40’s deck jacket owned by TCB as a reference, the Seaman’s Jumper was developed by carefully studying the silhouette, threads, color, and yarn count. The shape was then modified to work with a modern wardrobe. This is an excellent interpretation of a vintage Naval garment that was sewn on a vintage Singer 99 sewing machine.
The fabric is a lightweight yet sturdy 11.2 oz 100% cotton canvas that will age nicely. Double-stitched front patch pockets are placed on the lower part of the jumper.
Period correct shank buttons are decorated with the text US-Navy and an anchor symbol, just like the original ones. They are fastened to the garment with a small metal ring for added durability. Finished off with a shawl collar that completes the authentic look.
The model is 5′,8″, 155 lbs, and is wearing a size 40.
